She is currently Associate Editor at Sunday Life magazine at Nine, where she has worked for 18 years across news reporting, editing and management, including leading teams on large-scale, newsroom-wide projects.

Melissa is also an experienced mentor who passionately advocates for young people, helping them to achieve their goals through independence and opportunity.
She is also a sought-after writer and commentator whose flair for telling rich stories have proven success of reaching both engaged and new audiences, and translating into tangible outcomes.

Melissa joined the board of Kids Under Cover in November 2025, and brings deep insight into media and public relations across a range of sectors, including social affairs, lifestyle and issues
affecting families.
