Join us in ending youth homelessness

In the 2021 Census, there were an estimated 45,850 children and young people, aged up to 24, experiencing homelessness.

The reality is stark—many of these young people find themselves in severely crowded spaces, couch surfing, or in crisis accommodation that lacks the basic privacy, security, and comfort we often take for granted.

The Kids Under Cover difference

Enter Kids Under Cover, a not-for-profit organization on a mission to prevent youth homelessness. We don’t just address the problem; we provide tangible solutions. Imagine relocatable, one and two-bedroom studios, complete with bathrooms, built in the backyards of families or carers. These spaces offer the much-needed privacy and security young individuals crave.

But our impact doesn’t stop there. We go further by offering scholarships for education and job training. These scholarships cover basic education costs, empowering young minds to reach their full potential. Importantly, our scholarships extend beyond those residing in our studios, reaching their siblings in the main home.

A vision of a home for every young person

Our vision is simple yet profound: No young person in our community should experience homelessness. We believe in creating not just shelter but supportive environments where dreams can flourish.
