Joshua Bruni
Director
Josh brings experience across government, industrial relations, advocacy, and youth support to Kid Under Cover. His career reflects a strong commitment to supporting vulnerable people to navigate complex systems of power that are too often difficult to understand and access.
Josh has worked for multiple members of state and federal parliament, contributing to policy development and stakeholder engagement. Through this work, Josh developed a practical understanding of how decisions at every level of government – both large and small – shape the lives of individuals, families, and young people.
Josh currently represents workers in disputes with employers, advocating on their behalf before tribunals and regulators. His focus is on supporting vulnerable individuals facing significant power imbalances at work. His advocacy is directed toward ensuring workers understand their rights, can navigate complex processes, and have their voices properly heard.
Before joining Kids Under Cover, Josh worked in youth support roles with Anchor Inc and Anglicare Victoria, contributing to programs that support young people to build stability, confidence, and independence. That experience continues to inform his work with Kids Under Cover, particularly his understanding of the pressures facing young people with experience of out-of-home care and those at risk of homelessness.
