What is the Big Build 4 Kids Giving Day?

On Thursday 26 March 2026, from 8am AEDT for 24 hours only, every donation to Kids Under Cover will be doubled, dollar for dollar until matched funds last, thanks to a group of generous supporters including; Corrs Chambers Westgarth, Lawrence & Hanson and Manheim.

This means your impact goes twice as far- a $50 donation becomes $100, $200 becomes $400  and so on, helping Kids Under Cover in their preventative work to stop youth homelessness before it starts.

What will my donation support?
Your donation will help Kids Under Cover continue its preventative work to prevent and end youth homelessness. This includes:

• Studio Programs – providing safe, secure relocatable studio accommodation.

• Scholarship Programs – supporting young people to stay engaged in education.

Right now, Kids Under Cover studios provide safe accommodation for around 1,000 young people every night, but many more are still at risk. Your support on Giving Day can help change that.

Does my donation really get doubled?
Yes! Every donation made during the 24-hour Giving Day period will be matched, dollar for dollar, by our generous partners, until the matched funding pool is exhausted.

Is there a limit to matched donations?
Yes, there is a capped amount available for matching. Once this amount has been reached, donations will still be gratefully received but will no longer be doubled.

When should I donate?
To have your donation doubled, be sure to give on Thursday 26 March from 8am AEDT, during the 24-hour Giving Day period, until the matched funding pool is exhausted.

What happens if I donate outside the Giving Day period?
Your donation will still make a meaningful difference to young people at risk of homelessness, but it won’t be matched.

Are donations tax-deductible?
Yes, all donations of $2 or more are tax-deductible. You will receive a receipt via email after making your donation.

Will I receive a receipt?
Yes, a receipt will be emailed to you after your donation is completed.

Is my personal information secure?
Yes, all donations are processed through secure, encrypted systems, and your information will be stored safely.

Kids Under Cover prevent and end youth homelessness by providing vulnerable young people the space and support to thrive.

We accommodate over 1,000 young people each night in our studio program, keeping them safe and connected to family and community.

92% of young people have developed the necessary skills required for independent living since receiving a Kids Under Cover Studio.

61% of young people are better able to focus on their health and wellbeing since receiving the Kids Under Cover Studio.

35% of young people state household conflict was completely resolved since receiving the Kids Under Cover Studio.
