Kids Under Cover Scholarships

A Kids Under Cover scholarship can help with the costs associated with education or training, such as; textbooks, uniforms, laptop, printer, excursions, transport and stationery.

Kids Under Cover offers scholarships to young people who meet the following criteria;

  • aged 12 – 25 years old;
  • studying or undertaking training in the next year and;
  • living in a Kids Under Cover studio or in the main house where a studio is located.

The young person must be undertaking an apprenticeship or traineeship, studying at TAFE, school or university or completing another kind of training to be eligible to apply for a Kids Under Cover scholarship.

Previous scholarship recipients may still be eligible for scholarships for this round.

There are two application rounds per year. This first round is for the next full academic year. There is also a mid-year round for the second semester, which is for half the full-year scholarship amount, this usually opens around April each year.

What are the steps involved?

1. Apply online

Please contact the Kids Under Cover Scholarship Coordinator via email

2. Kids Under Cover review

Kids Under Cover will review all applications against the priority assessment criteria

3. Notification

Applicants will be notified of the scholarship application outcome by email

4 Money transfer

If the scholarship application is successful, scholarship funds will be paid into the nominated bank account

5 Use of the funds

Scholarship recipients use the scholarship funds for educational or training expenses in accordance with the provided guidelines

6 Record & submit expenses

The scholarship recipient or the primary contact person is responsible for recording scholarship expenditure on the online Scholarship Acquittal Form provided. They must also complete the Evaluation section on the form to outline how the scholarship has assisted the young person.
