What We Do

Prevention is better than cure

We have been committed to supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged young people between the ages of 12 and 25 since 1989.

We respond to the needs of young people at risk of becoming homeless due to extreme conflict or overcrowding within the family home, mental health issues, and the housing affordability crisis. Taking an early-intervention approach to preventing youth homelessness by combining accommodation and scholarships for young people at-risk of homelessness.

Our approach is simple and focuses on early intervention to prevent youth homelessness.

Our solution is to:

  • Build one or two bedroom studios (with bathroom) in the backyards of homes to keep young people connected to family.
  • Provide scholarships to ensure ongoing engagement with education or job training.

We believe shelter and education help young people stay connected to their family, to education and with their community.  Studios provide safe and secure accommodation, give additional room for the family and coupled with a scholarship young people are given the skills to become independent adults.
