Shooting hoops for the prevention of youth homelessness

Our partners at Oracle recently invited us along to be part of the Oracle Construction Technology Summit.

We had a great day at our booth and ‘Hoops for Cover’ basketball activation. The activation was a competition to see who could shoot the most amount of hoops in 20 seconds. Pro Dunker Brodie Stephens joined us on the basketball court to show everyone some awesome dunks and give some tips.

With the inaugural Hoops for Cover Cup up for grabs, there was lots of healthy competition between attendees. Rob from Oracle and Alicia from Render Networks tied to win the Cup, both shooting eight hoops in 20 seconds!

The level of competition was matched by the level of generosity, with each attempt raising funds for the prevention of youth homelessness. Rob from Oracle and Alicia from Render Networks tied to win the Cup, both shooting eight hoops in just 20 seconds!

The event helped us to raise over $800 for the prevention of youth homelessness! The funds raised will go towards our programs which will enable us to support more at-risk young people to have stable and secure accommodation, as well as scholarships for education and training.

A huge thank you to Oracle! We are so grateful for our partners who are truly committed to creating brighter futures for at-risk young people.
