Applications for 2021 are open from the 19th October 2020 – 27th November 2020. 

You can receive a Kids Under Cover Scholarship if you:

  • Are aged 12-25 years;
  • Are undertaking schooling, TAFE, university and job training;
  • Live on the same premises as a Kids Under Cover studio; AND
  • Received a scholarship in the 2019/20 financial year.

Scholarship Information

Yes – all receipts and invoices used for scholarship funds must be kept and uploaded to the online portal.

Successful applicants will receive up to $1300, depending upon the level of study or training they are undertaking in 2021.

$600 for Year 10 or below at School & Cert I courses
$1100 for Year 11/12 at Secondary School or the equivalent at TAFE & Cert II & III Courses
$1300 for post-secondary level courses/training & Cert IV courses

Apprentices will be awarded a scholarship based on their age during the application. The scholarship values awarded are:

$600 for ages 15 and below
$1,100 for ages 16 & 17
$1,300 for ages 18+

Please note: you do not need to specify expenses at the time of application.

Things to help you with your studies, for example – textbooks, uniforms, laptop, printer, other IT equipment, school camps or excursions, transport, tools, stationary and MORE. 

You just need to keep all receipts for purchases with your scholarship funds.

Course fees covered by loan schemes such as HECS or FEE HELP.
Note: TAFE courses that are designed to progress to an undergraduate university degree are covered by FEE HELP and therefore are ineligible.
Any expenses incurred in previous years prior to 2020.
Non-Government School Fees.
Fees incurred by someone other than the scholarship recipient.
