Volunteering opportunities

A corporate build with volunteers

A great way to make a difference

Volunteering is a great way to make a difference, meet new people and learn new skills.

At Kids Under Cover we are lucky to have some truly dedicated volunteers as part of our team, regular volunteers who help out in the office, at our events and even involved with the Corporate Build program.

Anyone can volunteer, no matter what your skills, experience or background. With limited resources, volunteering is a vital part in helping us make a difference. We can’t do it alone, we need your help to prevent at-risk young people from becoming homeless.

A little of your time can make a big difference to the impact of our work and the lives of the young people we support.

How you can help

There are many ways to show your support and have fun at the same time! Following are just a handful of opportunities to get involved;

Event volunteering

The Cubby House Challenge

The largest and most high profile event on our calendar.  It is also our largest fundraising initiative. Held in March/April each year at The Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show (MIFGS). Kids Under Cover is the official charity of the show. We require over 100 volunteers across the 5 show days to help out with the following tasks;
–  Selling raffle tickets;
–  Selling merchandise pins;
–  Cubby supervisors;
–  Meet and greet visitors to The Cubby House Village

All volunteer roles are lots of fun, you will be provided with a volunteer t-shirt and cap. Volunteers are provided with a full briefing document and are briefed by the event manager at the start of your shift.  For more information or to register as a volunteer click here

Corporate build

Build your team while building a better future

Have you heard about the Corporate Build? For partners who contribute to the funding of a studio, Kids Under Cover can provide a unique team building experience for staff and other volunteers -they are involved in all parts of the build and there are jobs to suit all skill levels!  Find out more or email partnerships@kuc.org.au TODAY

Community fundraising

Want to make a difference but not sure how?

Why not host a quiz or bingo night, or morning tea at work, high tea or movie night? Or maybe you’d prefer to do a fun run, raising funds and awareness for Kids Under Cover? There are many different events and activities that you can organise or take part in on our behalf.

In 2015/16 there were many people who generously organised fundraising events and activities, raising funds to support our programs and awareness of youth homelessness Without the support from all of our community fundraisers we could not continue to deliver our programs, building studios and providing scholarships for the young people we support.Fundraising golf day
