2018’s designs and constructions will be overseen by a panel of industry experts and well-known personalities. Foundation judge Peter Maddison, award-winning architect and original host of Grand Designs Australia; Shaynna Blaze, interior designer and co-host of Selling Houses Australia and judge on The Block.
Shaynna and Peter are joined by Andy and Ben, contestants from ‘The Block’ 2016 and Emily Power, Editor Domain Group Magazines to decide on the 2018 award winners. Judging will take place onsite at the Cubby House Village once all cubbies are displayed at the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show.

Peter Maddison is an Australian architect and television presenter. He is best known for presenting the TV series Grand Designs Australia, which has been shown in Australia, New Zealand, and the UK.
Peter has generously supported the Cubby House Challenge®
event since 2010.
Australian interior designer & television personality, Shaynna is best known for her work as a co-host on Selling Houses Australia (2008–present) and as a judge on The Block (2012–present)
Editor of magazines (Domain and The Weekly Review) at Domain Group, Emily is a journalist, author, broadcaster and former television presenter, with 14 years of experience across news and lifestyle rounds, and currently editor of Domain and The Weekly Review magazines.
Primary School Teachers and best mates from Geelong, Ben & Andy appeared on the popular reality TV show The Block in 2016. Proving to be favorites with television audiences they appeared as guest judges in 2017 for one of the contestant challenges, and are now forging a career in radio with a regular weekend show on KROCK 95.5FM.
