Bring your spare change along when you turn up at the polling booth on Saturday 24 November and help fight homelessness!
Radio personality and seasoned fundraiser Matt Tilley has this month launched the Aussie Dollar Drop. The campaign appeals to every Victorian voter to ‘bring change to the homeless’ by dropping a dollar in a collection bucket at their local polling booth on November 24.
All proceeds from the Aussie Dollar Drop will go directly to local partner organisations already impacting homelessness – like Kids Under Cover!
Founder and CEO Matt Tilley says, “The homeless don’t need any new soup kitchens. Or another charity. But they do need our support for the great work already being done by so many in the sector who, desperately need funds to continue their work. The Aussie Dollar Drop aims to fund projects and partner organisations at the coalface. Every dollar we allocate will go to directly to fund these programs and services, not overheads.”
Matt Tilley says “The enthusiasm for this simple idea has been incredible. If we can have an impact in Victoria this year, we will run the campaign Australia-wide at the Federal Election next year.”
