Ellery
It's Molly Meldrum here, and I’m speaking to you as a proud Patron of Kids Under Cover. In 2003 I donated half my prize from Who Wants to be a Millionaire to these guys, and since then, I have been actively supporting their work. This is a very special not-for-profit organisation which I am proud to support.
As you know, music, particularly local music has been one of my greatest passions, and I proudly present to you an exclusive music clip of a very talented young man, Ellery Weston, and his performance his song: More Than a Home.
Seventeen year old Ellery is part of a family of seven. A while ago, Ellery’s family came to Kids Under Cover on the verge of a crisis. With the support of Kids Under Cover, today their family is back-on-track.
Ellery is a talented musician. Through the Kids Under Cover Scholarship Ellery has been able to focus on his passion for music. Teaching himself drums, piano and then guitar and now singing.
Ellery wrote this song, More Than a Home, to describe what Kids Under Cover has meant for him. He performed this song in front of more than 900 guests at the Kids Under Cover 2011 Umbrella Ball and captivated every single soul in the room.
