In recent months Kids Under Cover has been inundated with studio applications from people in desperate need of our service. While it is unfortunate so much help is needed, we are excited to announce some changes at Kids Under Cover that will allow us to assist more young people and their families.

Building projects have previously been managed from the Kids Under Cover office, which involved many phone calls to builders, landlords, plumbers, local councils, real estate agents – and every other man and his dog! Since April this year, we have been working closely with Graham Ainley and Cameron Gregory from Ainley Projects, to transfer this monumental task into their capable hands. With extensive experience in building projects management, Ainley Projects are doing a marvellous job, and have improved the efficiency and professionalism of our service.

Ainley Projects now liaise directly with Trevor McLaughlin, head of the Kids Under Cover building crew. Trevor has brought together a team of skilled tradesmen who continue to show great commitment by going above and beyond the call of duty to complete projects. To the families for whom we provide studios, Trevor has become the face of Kids Under Cover, and his genuine character is an amazing asset to our organisation. We appreciate and value his hard work, experience and his diplomacy in handling challenging situations.

With demand on the rise, we are pleased to announce that a second team from Ainley Projects is due to start in mid-September. Outsourcing the management of construction has allowed Kids Under Cover to focus on further developing its Studio and Scholarship programs.
