Sarah Davies, Victorian Chair of Kids Under Cover, on behalf of the Board, is delighted to announce the appointment of Jo Swift (Ms.) as the new CEO of Kids Under Cover.

Ms Swift will succeed Petrina Dorrington when she resigns, after a 10 year tenure, as Executive Director in December.

"Jo has demonstrated significant talent, passion and commitment to Kids Under Cover and the people and organisations we serve" Ms Davies said.

Kids Under Cover was established in 1989 by prominent businessman and philanthropist, Ken Morgan.

Through responsive action with a focus on prevention, Kids Under Cover constructs purpose built, quality homes which provide disenfranchised children and young people with the opportunity to remain with family by easing the pressures of over crowding, or to facilitate foster and family placements. Kids Under Cover also provide housing solutions for homeless and at-risk young people.

Kids Under Cover believes every young person has the right to a safe and secure home and a sound education.  We work to make this belief a reality.

"Demands for Kids Under Cover services and support continues to grow and we have a number of challenging goals we are striving to achieve; extension of the education support program, development of new housing models and national expansion" continued Ms. Davies.

"The Board is confident Ms. Swift, as CEO, will lead the achievement of these goals and we are delighted to confirm Jo in her new role"

Ms. Swift started at Kids Under Cover in February 2003 as the Communications and Events Manager. Previously, she worked in private enterprise with focus in the exhibition and display industry. In late 2004, Jo was promoted to General Manager of Kids Under Cover.
