Coles DC supporting youth at risk in Queensland

Coles DC at Heathwood supporting youth at risk in Queensland Coles DC at Heathwood has selected Kids Under Cover as its fundraising recipient for its biggest fundraising event, “Open House”, inviting the families and friends of 200 staff members.  At the Open Day, fun and laughter was had by all, with children and adults enjoying the many free, fun park rides.

The kids lined up for fairy floss, ice cream, show bags and face painting. Coles DC displayed the Kids Under Cover posters throughout the complex together with bunches of Kids Under Cover black and yellow balloons, which were handed out to the kids.

Sue Wood, General Manager of the Coles DC participated willingly in the most popular event of the afternoon: “Dunk the Supervisor”.  Monies were also raised from a gold coin donation for the sausage sizzle, which was manned by three Coles staff members who worked all afternoon in the heat.

Kids Under Cover thank all the Coles DC staff for their commitment and support in helping to fundraise a total of $1210.45 and to their help in raising the profile of KUC in Queensland.
