Leave a gift in your Will

What is a bequest?

Most of us make provisions in our will for family and loved ones. A will can also include a gift that can really change people's lives. A bequest does not always need to be in cash. It can include securities, real estate or even personal property.

How can I leave a bequest?

Leaving a bequest in your will is easy. The following simple statement in your will ensures your wishes are carried out:

'I give and bequeath the sum of $_____ (*or alternatively a specific gift or percentage of estate can be given) to Kids Under Cover Inc to be paid free of all duty and to be applied for the general purposes of the organisation. I declare the receipt of the Executive Director or other proper officer of Kids Under Cover Inc shall be a sufficient discharge to my executors.'

Kids Under Cover recommends you obtain legal advice when making or amending a will.

I already have a will, and want to add my bequest to Kids Under Cover

If you want to add a bequest to your will, you can simply add a supplement which sets out your instructions for a bequest.
