I dream of... is a celebration of a child's dream. Young people have magnificent dreams, but noone ever dreams of becoming homeless. This theme is a reminder, and a celebration, of all those times when our imaginations took us away.

- Time: 6.30pm - 1.00am
- Location: Palladium at Crown, 8 Whiteman Street, Southbank
- Dress code: Black tie (or come dressed as your childhood dream)
- Ticket price: $225 per head or $3000 for a corporate table of 10 (incl. premium seating, table signage and AV acknowledgement).
Melbourne-based band Evermore will headline the evening, with special guest appearances including Australia's Got Talent Jack Vidgen. The night will also feature a lucky door-prize, raffle and auctions with a host of luxury goods including exotic holidays and limited edition sporting and entertainment memorabilia.
Guaranteed to live up to its reputation, this year's Umbrella Ball is a brilliant opportunity for a night out with friends, family and colleagues while also making a real difference to the lives of homeless and at-risk young people in our community.

Kids Under Cover Umbrella Ball 2011
The Kids Under Cover 2011 Umbrella Ball took place under the Big Top at the Palladium at Crown on Saturday, 16 July, and was truly a night to remember with more than 900 guests attending.
The theme for the night was circus and it was good to see so many people dressing up for the occasion, especially those walking the red carpet in tuxedos complete with over-sized clown shoes and red noses!
Andrew Gill was our Ringmaster for the night, supported by Brodie Young. The double act entertained us through the evening as they introduced spectacular performances by Jo Camilleri and the Black Sorrows, The Pink Show and the Kids Under Cover Circus Troupe.
There was a very special performance from Ellery Weston, one of the young people we have supported. At just 15, he wowed the crowd with his original song, about how Kids Under Cover has helped him and his family. It was very moving. Finally there was dancing late into the night to live music from Déjà Vu, who performed many of the great 80’s and 90’s classics they do so well.
The event was bigger than ever thanks to our generous Key Business Partner, Hocking Stuart, who were the Umbrella Ball Principal Partner. They were instrumental to the event’s success and helped generate publicity and excitement in the lead up to the night, by taking out full page ads in The Age, featuring various Hocking Stuart staff dressed in full circus regalia.
Thanks to Hocking Stuart and all our other major donors for their continued support of Kids Under Cover. Thanks also to everyone who attended last year’s event. With your help, more than $180,000 was raised from the live and silent auctions, pledges, raffle and of course the sale of the much sought-after clown shoe centre pieces! We couldn’t have done this without you. Funds raised will ensure we can continue our work building homes and providing scholarships for homeless and at-risk young people.
