Carina Leagues Club

When Kids Under Cover approached the State Member for Chatsworth, Chris Bombolas, for advice about community fundraising avenues in his electorate, he introduced the Queensland State Manager, Kerry Gorman, to the Carina Leagues Club.

After Board deliberation, the Club decided to partner with Kids Under Cover for three years, guaranteeing to raise the money to fund at least one studio in their area.

Recently their General Manager, Tony Bonello and Samantha Litfin were able to view a newly constructed studio and were amazed to see the difference it has already made to Amy, the young occupant.

Recently Queensland Advisory Committee members Neill Baxter and Katrina Cutler along with Queensland eneral Manager, Glenda Haig, attended the grand opening of the Carina League Club.

State member for Chatsworth, Councilor Chris Bombolas, introduced Kids Under Cover to guests. Flowing, the Chairperson of the Carina Leagues Club, Wade Core, announcing the Club’s commitment to Kids Under Cover as their official charity for the next three years.

A cheque for $20,000 was presented to Kids Under Cover.

This money will go towards providing a one bedroom studio for Carina Youth Agency to accommodate a young person leaving State care who is at risk of homelessness.
