13th Annual Umbrella Ball

At this year’s Umbrella Ball, it was all about the beats! Gracing the stage were husband and wife duo, Michelle Pettigrove and Frankie J Holden performing their cabaret show, ‘How Sweet it Is’. Next up was the Peter Sullivan Band featuring Paul Norton and Mick Pealing who got everyone on their feet and onto the dance fl oor. Later, when Lisa Edwards belted out a number of classics including ‘I Will Survive’, there was barely a filled seat in the Palladium!

The evening was hosted superbly by Channel 9 presenters, Glen Moriarty and Kelly Landry.

Duncan Macpherson and the team from Nelson Alexander worked the room and achieved an excellent major auction result of $80,000. Coupled with other fundraising activities on the night, we raised a staggering $220,000.

Congratulations to Phillip Rolls of Rolls Pack for being recognised as the 2008 Under Cover Angel. Phillip has been a long-standing supporter of Kids Under Cover since inception. His dedication to the cause and generosity made Phillip Rolls an easy choice. Our thanks once again to Crown as they presented a fi rst-class menu nicely balanced with Tyrrell’s fi ne selection of wines and Foster’s beers.
