Grand Final Luncheon 2008

It was the end of an era for the loyal guests of this Grand Final week extravaganza as they bid farewell to
former board member, Life Ambassador and man behind the event, George Ermer.

George started the Grand Final Lunch 10 years ago, and it has been a highlight in our annual calendar of events ever since.

On the Wednesday before the big game a sell-out crowd enjoyed excellent food, wine and conversation with both past and present football greats at The Point in Albert Park. Comedian, Doug Chappell had guests in stitches. A panel of four football legends shared their thoughts on the game as it is today and finally, Demons legend, David Schwarz, shared a moving account of his life.

Overall, $20,000 was raised at this great event.
