Golden Gumby Strikes Again!

The 8th Pigdon Five Minute Film Festival was a huge success. Over 200 guests were entertained by 16 alternative short films in the fantastic facilities at ACMI.  A record four Cabinet Ministers attended including Treasurer John Brumby who, for the eighth time, presented the Golden Pig awards with his usual panache and humour.

Our judges this year included Sigrid Thornton, Terry Cutler and Eugene Schulsser. Their task was an easy one with such an abundance of inspired film making on offer. Compare the inspired madness of Monkey Madness Parts 1 and 2 with the intensity of The Fan III, and the whimsy of Timing?

We'll never know (unless we take up the suggestion of having a camera rolling in the judge's room) but some how they managed the impossible.

Thank you to the Film Festival Committee for their contribution, our judges,  our volunteers and supports. Your assistance was an integral part in the success of the Film Festival and we cannot thank you enough for your support, attendance, judging, generosity and good humour! On behalf of Kids Under Cover thank you all for your time and contribution.

The proceeds from the Pigdon Film Festival will assist Kids Under Cover with our operating expenses for the coming year, allowing us to continue building homes for Victoria's homeless and at risk young people.
