Neill Baxter - Chair

Neill joined Grocon in 2004 as Commercial Manager, New South Wales, bringing to the group a long and impressive career in Commercial, Project and Contract Management in the construction industries of Australia, Asia, the Middle East and the United Kingdom. Past projects for which Neill has had overall commercial responsibilities include infrastructure and building projects of more than $1billion in value. Neill was promoted to the position of General Manager for the Queensland Operations in January 2008 and has management responsibility for project portfolios with a combined value of over $1.2 billion.

 

Bill Wallace

Bill has worked in the building and construction industry for twenty-five years and fulfilled senior roles within the employer groups in two states of Australia .  He was appointed to Construction Income Protection Qld (CIPQ) in March 2004 following two years as Company Secretary.

In addition he was appointed General Manager of BERT in March 2006.

Milton Dick

Brisbane native, Milton Dick bring his Federal, Stat and Local Government expertise to Kids Under Cover in his home state of Queensland.

Milton is currently the QLD State Secretary and State Campaign Director for the Australian Labor Party, and has been with the party for well over a decade since 1991.

He has had vast international experience as a Delegate in Israel, South Korea and the United States of America.

In addition to being appointed as a Committee Member to the Kids Under Cover's Queensland Advisory Committee, Milton currently sits on the Board of Children's charity, Bravehearts Inc.


John Campbell

Born in Moree in North Western New South Wales, father of five John Campbell has been the State President of the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland since 2005.

With a diverse background, from farming, publishing and management, to tourism and insurance, John's passion for helping those in need, particularly the homeless, saw him meet with the founders of Kids Undercover in Victoria to encourage them to expand to Queensland: the state hardest hit by the homelessness crisis.

His persistence, and the generosity of the St Vincent de Paul Society, has seen the successful establishment of this Queensland committee.

When he can find the spare time, John's other passions include photography, film, music and entertaining the crowds playing the saxophone.


Greg Quinn

Greg Quinn is the Managing Director of Queensland's largest family owned building company, Hutchinson Builders, which has been in existence since 1912.  He is the first non-family member to be appointed to this position, one that he has held since 2001.

Greg joined Hutchinson's after 17 years with the Queensland and New South Wales Master Builders Associations where he was Executive Director of both organisations.  He is a Carpenter by trade and a proud father and grandfather, who follows rugby league and has an active role in the St Edmund's College of Ipswich Foundation.


Patrick Hoiberg

Patrick has 38 years experience working in and operating a public practice. After completing his tertiary studies at the then Queensland Institute of Technology (now the Queensland University of Technology) in 1970, Patrick commenced his professional career with a top tier accounting firm in Brisbane. In 1985 Patrick commenced his own broadly based public practice providing business services, auditing and financial training. Patrick is a Past President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.

Patrick is a well-known trainer in Queensland and regularly presents various financial courses on behalf of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Queensland Master Builders Association, Australian Institute of Management and other bodies. This is Patrick's niche and he can accurately be called a consummate training professional. He has a unique ability to communicate complex and technical accounting concepts in ways that are simple and easy to understand for non-accountants. One of his training packages is Accounting Comes Alive and this is aptly named. He is a dynamic, versatile and fun presenter and he can almost make anyone believe that accounting can be done with colours.

 

Suzanne Sheridan

Suzanne will bring to Kids Under Cover a wealth of capability and experience, not only through her involvement in management committees for her children's kindergarten and schools, but also in her professional capacity as a partner and now consultant with Minter Ellison Lawyers.

Suzanne has almost 25 years' legal experience, both in private practice and as corporate counsel. Having spent some 18 years as a litigator, she now works in the Corporate Group; advising companies in relation to restructuring, selling and purchasing of assets, corporate takeovers and handling disputes in commercial transactions.

An active member of the community and her profession, Suzanne has also served as a board member of the Creche and Kindergarten Association for a number of years and as a member of the Law Reform Commission and the Building Services Tribunal.
