When Jenny awoke in intensive care she was angry her attempt to end her life had failed. Severe depression caused by years of abuse had led Jenny to jump off an overpass, where she landed on the freeway and into oncoming traffic. After months of medical rehabilitation she moved into a Kids Under Cover house.

This house is specially designed for young women requiring semi-independent living and is managed by one of our member welfare agencies. It was here Jenny began the long process of building a sense of self worth and eventually moved on to independent living and a healthy new life.

Recently Jenny was asked to return to the house to act as a lead tenant and to create a positive role model for the young women who reside there. After a lot of hard work and effort Jenny now plays a significat role in changing the lives of similar young women in need.
